The Texas Municipal Courts Education Center mission is to provide high quality judicial education, technical assistance, and the necessary resource material to assist municipal judges, court support personnel, and prosecutors in obtaining and maintaining professional competence.

TMCEC recognizes the municipal courts and court personnel affected by Hurricane Harvey. Our thoughts are with you. If you have any questions or concerns related to the storm’s impact on your court, please call our office or visit the Disaster and Emergency Preparedness page on our website. Also, the Supreme Court and Court of Criminal Appeals issued an Emergency Order authorizing modification and suspension of court procedures in proceedings affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Please see the Court Closures & Delays page on the OCA website for information on closed courts/offices and how clerks can report a closure. Reporting a closure to OCA is not required, but is encouraged.
