Faculty

Since 1984, the Texas Municipal Courts Education Center has provided quality continuing judicial education to municipal judges, court support personnel, and city prosecutors. TMCEC’s programs would not be possible without our exceptional faculty who give their time in service for the fair administration of justice in Texas municipal courts. This page contains helpful information and forms for TMCEC faculty members.

Faculty Dress Code: In order to enhance and promote the professionalism of TMCEC to our participants, it is important for faculty members to present a professional appearance. Presenting a professional image creates a favorable impression, promotes respect, and encourages better audience participation. During your presentations, the Board strongly recommends professional or business casual attire be worn. Law enforcement attire or court/agency uniforms are also acceptable. The primary objective is for the faculty member to project a professional image when addressing the audience.

TMCEC Faculty Scholarships: Scholarships of up to $2,500 will be awarded to approximately five individuals to attend out-of-state court-related education programs within the United States. For more information, click here.

Attorney Teaching Credit: If you are an attorney teaching at a TMCEC judges’ program approved for MCLE credit, you may qualify for MCLE teaching credit to be entered on your Credit Input Form. Click here to contact the State Bar of Texas for more information.
