TMCEC and TCCA offer annual events for court personnel, which count for clerk certification credit based on hours of attendance. See the TMCEC online academic schedule and TCCA Education and Testing Events page for a list of events. Below is a list of approved alternative education providers for the Municipal Court Clerk Certification Program.
For alternate approved providers, the course must be in-person and relevant to municipal court jurisdiction. Before attending a course from an alternate approved provider, submit an agenda to TMCEC at certification@tmcec.com for approval. TMCEC will determine the number of approved hours. Agendas can be submitted after attendance, but approval will depend on the course’s relevance and in-person format.
Alternate Approved Providers
- Texas Municipal Courts Association (TMCA)
- Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) Approved Training for Court Interpreters
- Coalition of American Court Collectors (CACC)
- Governmental Collectors Association of Texas (GCAT)
